Why are we selling lightbulbs?
Similar to how the Girl Scouts sell cookies, the robotics team sells lightbulbs. By supporting our fundraiser, you help fund our team. With more money, we can give our students more opportunities on the team.
Why should I buy lightbulbs from MVRT?
Although they’re priced at $17 a unit, here are some advantages to purchasing LED bulbs:
- Lasts longer than a standard incandescent (10 years if used 2 or 3 hours a day), saving over $30 per LED bulb purchased.
- Free of mercury and other harmful toxins, unlike CFLS.
- Simple disposal, unlike CFLs.
- Does not overheat.
- Glass-free, and has a hard shell for durability.
How much do they cost?
They cost $17 a unit. Cash and check are both acceptable. Checks should be made out to the Monta Vista Robotics Team. If you are mailing the check to us (please note: if you wish to have the lightbulbs mailed out, there will be a $5 shipping charge), mail it to:
