Today the groups started prototyping! Mechanical started on manipulators for crossing the bridge, such as ramps and clamps (rhymes!), conveyers, shooter, and herding mechanisms. We also picked number of wheels ( 10-4" wheels) and decided on a 45 degree slant. Then we measured out dimensions for the slant.
Electrical started using the camera and the camera worked temporarily. Just temporarily because the computer’s IP was causing issues. Then the accelerometer and the limit switches were tested and we started coding for them. In addition, we researched for materials and finished install LabVIEW on the computers.
Despite the connection issues, we accomplished many jobs on the schedule and began prototyping!
