Electrical: Introduced programming.
Mechanical: Discussed prototyping, then did some fun activities. Later, we split into two teams and started designing an arm.

Electrical: We covered Robot Controler (RC) and Operator Interface (OI).
Mechanical: We covered screw sizes and competed to build the lightest, tallest newspaper tower which would holds the most washers.

Mechanical: Went over different types of motors. See the powerpoint. Although we didn't go over the guide on how to pick a motor, it's highly recommanded that you at least glance at it! Don't worry if it sounds Greek to you, however.

Mechanical and Engineering: Discussed possible arm/manipulator designs and types. Review the Robot Designs II powerpoint. Important:The serial number for Inventor installation on the cd is wrong. Please ask an officer for correct the serial number.

For Electrical/Mechanical: Investigated different types of chassis and drive-trains design. Then members began planning their own design. They will have a chance to build the actual model next Tuesday. You should review the Robot Designs powerpoint before coming to the meeting on the 18th.

There was a general meeting for ALL members today afterschool. We introduced ourselves and played a GAME called Helium Sticks. If you missed it, it's not a big deal, but make sure you contact one of the officers so you can sign up your email for division mailing list.
