Design Review
This Thursday (Jan 10) is the Design Review. We'll be presenting the two designs we've decided on: the Elevator and the Four-bar. All participating members please be back to school by 6:45pm and be ready to present.(Yes, there is still the normal meeting after school)
Build
Throughout build, unless announced otherwise, there will be a meeting everyday. It'll be 3:00pm-6:00pm during school days, and 1:00pm-6:00pm during weekends. You're not expected to show up everyday, but please contact your leader when you cannot show up.
Kick Off
Kick Off is on Jan. 5th, this Saturday. We will be showing portions of the webcast, namely speeches from Woodie Flowers and Dean Kamen, the game animation, and anything else noteworthy, followed by an explanation of the game, and a Q&A session to clarify any aspects of point scoring, game rules, or robot restrictions. A past president, Patrick Wang, will be giving his famous game analysis presentation, after which we will discuss various game approaches. Cupertino, Homestead, St. Francis, Mission San Jose, and Castilleja will very likely be attending also, so we expect you all to represent both our school and our team well. Also, veterans, put in an effort and wear your team shirts.

Mandatory Team Meeting
From now on, there will be a mandatory meeting during lunch on first tuesday of every month @ room F108.
Trainings
Dear members, trainings have started! The schedule for trainings are posted on the site Calendar, please check and attend the trainings of your divisions. Generally, Engineering is on Monday, Electrical on Tusday, Mechanical on Friday, and Media on Monday in the ROP Media room (Portable 4).
Also, the application deadline have been extended to October 9th. All applications turned in after the deadline will be charged a late fee of 20 dollars.
Cal-Game
The Annual Cal-Game is coming up soon! Cal-Game is an annual competition our team participates in. It's an extension from last year's game, and is a bay area competition amongst 40 teams. This year's Cal-Game will be on October 13th, at Woodside High School (Woodside High School,199 Churchill Avenue, Woodside, CA 94062). This is the first competition of the year, and is strongly recommended for rookies to attend to get a feel of what a Robotics Competition is like.
The Busy September
As the school begins to become busy, our team is on the move too!
There are lots of things to be done during september. Some important dates are:
Sept. 11: Back to School Night Booth (6:00 pm - 7:00 pm) Sept. 12: Robot Demo. at Academic Court during lunch. Sept. 13: Promo-Day Booth during lunch. Sept. 14: Club-Day Selling! (come buy some food from us!) Sept. 21: First Meeting for all rookies and veterans. Sept. 26: Parent's Night. Sept. 28: Application forms and fee due. Oct. 1: Parent's Night.
Start of School
Another school year has started. There will be a veteran's meeting on August 31, and all veteran's should come to learn more about this year's plan.
